i am abundantly expressed in tumor cells!

for those of the non-scientific nature: a ligand is a molecule that binds to a receptor/protein (this here blog is gonna learn you something)

Murine/Rat Cytokine/Growth Factor/Chemokines Sample Spec sheets (subject to change without notice):
DATA SHEET: APRIL (a proliferation-inducing Ligand), also known as TNFSF13, is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF Ligand family. Although low levels of APRIL are found in normal tissues, it is abundantly expressed in tumor cells. ( everything past this point is can be read as blah blah so and so blah ......it's just cut and paste people. cut and paste......Recombinant soluble APRIL stimulates proliferation in Raji B cells, Jurkat T cells and MCF-7 carcinoma cells. Both APRIL and BAFF (BLyS) mediate their distinct biological roles through two receptors, TACI and BCMA. This Recombinant Murine APRIL is a soluble 21.9 kDa protein, consisting of 192 amino acid residues.)

and now...........
